How You Can HelpSponsor a RiderSponsor a HeroVolunteer at the Center Partner with our Program Corporate Sponsorship Fundraiser Sponsorship For more information contact: Amy Alliston at (434) 390-5991 Thank you for your interest in making a donation to Heartland Horse Heroes, Inc for its horsemanship and riding therapy program for disabled persons. The following sets forth the terms for making donations to this non-profit organization. The Internal Revenue Service has determined that Heartland Horse Heroes Inc. is an organization described in section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Accordingly, the value of your donation may be exempt from federal income taxation. Our IRS employer identification number is 54-2037302. Any donation of property to Heartland Horse Heroes Inc. must be by the legal owner of that property. Any donation from a corporation or other organization must be by an officer fully authorized to make donations of property. Any donation of property must be unrestricted. However, Heartland Horse Heroes will attempt to use the donated property according to the written wishes of the donor to the extent possible. In addition, if a horse donated for use in the handicap therapy program should be determined by the board of directors of Heartland Horse Heroes to be unsuitable for the program, the organization will offer to return ownership of the horse to the donor at the donor's expense. A one-page value document is available, which can be used to describe and place a value on property to be donated. For example, a horse should be described by breed, age and marking and any applicable registration documents should be included and transferred to Heartland Horse Heroes, Inc. The document should be signed and dated by the owner of the property and by a third person qualified to place a value on the property. In the case of a horse, for example, your veterinarian or other horse professional may be used. That person must also sign and date the document. A representative of Heartland Horse Heroes will contact you by telephone to arrange for transportation of the property. Please also indicate if you are able to provide for transportation. If you are in agreement with the terms of this letter and would like to proceed with your donation. Please contact us for a copy of the valuation document Sincerely yours, Amy Alliston, Executive Director
